It is easy to grow but it grows has a slow growth rate. It grows in desert areas so it like dry conditions. Low humidity and warm temperatures. Hardy in zones 8-11.

The seeds of the Mexican Blue palm take months to germinate. 1. Soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 2-4 days. Change the water every day. 2. The seeds like moist, well-drained soil. Use a sterile seed starter mix, if available. It prevents soil pathogens from damaging the seeds and the seedlings. If not available, then make a mixture of half potting soil and half sand, perlite or vermiculite. 3. Put the soil in a pot. 4. Sow the seeds on the soil. Cover the seeds with a layer of soil. 5. Water the soil and then water it when the surface becomes dry. The seeds may take 9 months or more the germinate. They can take 6 months to sprout or they can take over a year to germinate.
