Yellow Anise is a shrub or a small tree with evergreen leaves and small, yellow flowers. It is native to Central Florida and is rare in the wild but is widely cultivated in the southeast as a shrub, a hedge and a small tree. It is drought tolerant and is very durable and adaptable. The foliage has an anise scent. The pods are dried and were collected from plants in 2018.
